Proportions of the human figure

Many artists and schools have tried to establish ideal proportions for drawing the figure despite the varying differences from individual to individual.  Knowledge of these proportional systems can help you in several ways: a.  Pre-established proportions can be used to help fit the figure to the page.  b.
